LET US HONOR THE HAT

People wear hat from time immemorial. At first this accessory was used to protect the head from trauma, but later it is made in a cult and it transforms into symbol social status. The etiquette and the formality also have played their role for the wearing of hats. In the beginning of 20 century men and women change their accessory, depending on the activity that they execute. They possessed special hats that they were wearing during a business appointment, other – for the lunch time and quite different – during the evening. To some ladies from the highest social circles was necessary to change their hat at several times per day. It was considered for indecent for one lady to come out from her home without a hat even if she goes to the neighbor house.

The First World War changed the status of the hats. The fashion was strongly influenced from the new role of the women – they were very busy and they needed more practice clothes. Then the work uniforms appeared.

When the Second World War started, the hats were unpractical, because people had to hide in the asylums during the air bombings. The barriers of the etiquette broke down. The simple barrettes, the caps and the knitted by hand hats rested the only accessories that were weird in a mass.

The hats will never disappear from the woman’s wardrobe. A prove for this is the fact that today their making transformed in an art. According to a number of studies namely the wearing of this accessory attracts mostly the attention. Just this rule the Hollywood celebrities and the ladies form the high life exploit in a whole degree.
