Violina Marinova is a chief executive director of Bank DSK – the biggest bank in Bulgaria at degree of the assets. This is the bank with longest history. It is created as state savings bank in 1952, transformed later in 1998 at commercial bank, privatized in the autumn of 2003 and already part of the international financier group of the Hungary OTP Bank.
The development of the bank is a part of the professional road of its chief executive director. The professional road of Violina Marinova is a part of the successful growth of the bank. Her career as a banker started at branch of DSK-2 before more than 30 years. Then only DSK in our country makes loans for citizens for current consumption those maximum amount is 200 levs. Step by step Violina Marinova amasses her whole bank experience in DSK. She has passed through almost all of the positions, existing in the structure of the bank – work behind a desk in service Loans, accountant, chief accountant, director of the branch. In branch DSK-2 pass 25 years from her length of service, as she starts from the lowest step, to achieve some kind of top in professional respect – chief executive director. Before she was working as a vice-president of the board of manager of Bank DSK and executive director, chief of management Interior control and audit of the bank. With a decision of the supervisory board of Bank DSK from 29th of November 2004 Violina Marinova is chosen for chief executive director. 
By her words she hadn’t a preliminary disposition that she will stay so long and permanent in this institution and in this branch. It’s found to be that it is interesting for her to work with people, with a big collective, in a team. But her career is a wholly realized choice, not a concurrence of circumstances. All things considered, her not only professionally life passes in this bank – she enters there not married, during this period she graduates at Finances and Credits in VFSI „Dimitar Tsenov” in Svishtov, she get married, she gives birth to her two children, she has already a grandchild. All sentiments are connected with the bank. Probably this explains the fact that her stay in one bank more than 30 years is an emotional moment.
The history of her career seems easy for telling but it isn’t. The bank not only once passes through a process of restructuring and transformation – first from state savings bank in commercial bank, than from state credit institution in private bank. Together with this DSK develops like a part of the bank market and of the bank industry in Bulgaria.
It is not easy to manage the biggest bank at one market. What does it mean? At first it means a big intensity of the working – moderately at 12 hours per day. Besides Bank DSK is already a part of a financier group, including two insurance companies, Pension Company, leasing company, company for managing of assets. These are companies that either started their activity some years ago, or now start to develop it intensely, that require a special concentration of the efforts. As a part of financier group every one of the companies can offer to the client a complex package of products and services and a whole service. Today the client is exacting and the concurrence is big. This requires the proposal to be better, to be comfortable, close to the client; he has to receive the best service. This makes you to be adaptive and very fast, shares a part of her successful experience Violina Marinova.
Where is the truth for the success
Without thinking of this question, the director of the biggest bank in Bulgaria answers – the work in a team with people. When one person has passed through all the steps in the hierarchy of one structure, the amassed experience is invaluable and especially useful, when this man is already a manager of this structure. And the truth for the success of one woman in the career is the constancy, the purposefulness and the patience. It is very important for one person to have purposes, but also to realize them. Because of that it is necessary to know how to defend and to reach them, sometimes with the price of many working and constancy. Beside all of this one woman has to find the balance between the work and the family. It is important the harmony in the family – people to believe and to help each other. She is deeply convinced that her success is due also to her husband.
Every success has its price, but when you reach this, what brings you satisfaction, the price is worth. It is important for one person to find for him self the boundary between the ambitiousness and the social climbing. The social climbing sometimes could be painful. There is a difference between the ambitious people who want to achieve something and the social climbers. The second could runs over you like a tank, explains Violina Marinova. The social climber can achieve some results, but they are a temporal achievement. But yet everybody is working in a team with other people. The team couldn’t accept social climbers – the team could accept them for some time and after that could throw them, things she.
The satisfaction – what is this
Turning back Violina Marinova is satisfied from the achieved as in the private, as in professional plan, but... there are some other things that have to be made, there are more challenges, shares she. In the work I will be satisfied, when people work well, when they are calm and when they feel recompensed for what they were made.

Then she feels satisfied and happy
This gives her strength and energy
What will give up her?
She doesn’t know.
She is steady; she doesn’t give up so easily.
She has to be very disappointed, very grieved.
She had hard moments, strongly shaken, but she stays in the bank that she loves.
