MIRANDA KERR – THE AUSTRALIAN FAVORITE OF AMERICA

The Australian model Miranda Kerr was born at 20th of April 1983 in Sidney, but she passes her childhood in New South Wales. Her hobby as little girl is to ride on horseback at her grandmother, and later – to compete with motorcycles. Today she is famous as one of the angles of “Victoria’s secret”. She is the first member of the fashion giant from Australia and she is an advertising face of the Australian fashion multiple “Portmans”, as of “David Jones Limited”.

Miranda Kerr has the ambition to study in Food and Tobacco University, but she enters in the fashion surroundings after that in 1997 she wins the national Australian casting for models, organized from magazine “Dolly” and the fragrance “Impulse”. Just before her 14th anniversary, she goes to Sidney, where she makes her first photo session for the magazine. Many media responds in negative way at this her participation, as they define her photos as child pornography. Miranda responds to these statements as she shares: “Magazine “Dolly” is for teenagers and it is not read from adult men. Besides, I was completely dressed! The photos were with winter topic. The media wondered how to misrepresent the things.”

Miranda survives a shocking emotional drama after the death of her boyfriend. Than she is in 11th class and she signs a contract with “Chadwick Models Melbourne Division”. The next is a contract with “Chic Management Sydney Division”. From this moment Miranda becomes one of the most successful models in Australia and in Japan. After her participation in an advertising campaign of the swimming suits of the Australian fashion brand “Billabong”, Miranda conquers the Austrian and the Asian fashion market, and later she goes to New York. There she signs a contract with the fashion agency “Next” and she starts to march by for the most famous world fashion brands, some of those are “Roberto Cavalli”, “Levi's”, “Betsey Johnson”, “Rock and Republic”, “Blumarine Swimwear” etc. The beautiful Australian girl appears in magazines “Elle”, the Austrian edition of “Vogue”, “Harper’s bazaar” and in the TV advertisings of brands like “Portmans”, “Bonds” and “Veet”.

In 2006 Miranda Kerr signs a contract with the cosmetic giant “Maybelline New York”. Her advertisings for the brand appear in the magazines “Cosmopolitan”, “Cleo” and “Elle”. Miranda starts to show in catalogues of “Victoria’s secret”. Soon she signs a contract with the brand and becomes the first Australian angel of “Victoria’s secret”.

In the chart for the richest models for 2008 “Forbes” puts Miranda Kerr in the leading tenth, as she registers for the last twelve months incomes, exceeding $ 3,5 million.
