Hey, Tesa! I hope all is well with you in these difficult times. Where in the world are you right now?
Hey! I’m back home in my hometown Ljubljana, Slovenia.

You are among the first Slovenian bloggers – your blog Magnifique is 10 years old. So impressive! How has the blogging world changed for you since the beginning?
Thank you!   The blogging world changed a lot ever since I first started. Unfortunately, I think Instagram and other social media are taking the lead.
“Most of the people stopped reading blogs, so a lot of bloggers quit blogging (myself included, sadly).”

What was seen as ‘cool’ content back then and what do you think people prefer reading/watching more today?
I think for style bloggers like myself, we would mostly focus on high-quality street style photos, while I think nowadays it feels like people prefer more “real” photos, so photos taken with an iPhone, mirror shots, etc.

Here in Bulgaria, there are quite a lot of controversial opinions on bloggers and influencers. Is it like that in Slovenia as well? Do people acknowledge the potential in the new leaders of opinion?
Slovenia for sure is a few steps behind the rest of the world when it comes to fashion, blogging, and influencers, but I think at this point we are appreciated, brands do understand the importance of working with influencers and the benefits they get from such collaborations! The general public might still be a little bit reserved with us, or even annoyed, but that’s a different story…
What’s your opinion on social media and its impact on people? How should we look at the eye-candy content online?
Social media are for sure a big part of our everyday lives and they affect people more than we know or are willing to admit! I don’t think there’s anything wrong with social media as long as you have your values and priorities straight and you don’t take the social media too seriously!

Apart from being a blogger, you are also Grazia Slovenia fashion editor. Do you think that today “a million girls would kill for” working in a magazine just like they said in ‘The Devil Wears Prada’? Or have things changed?
Well, I love my job and it’s far from The Devil Wears Prada scenario. But of course, like every job, it can be stressful from time to time, especially during fashion month when my schedule can quickly get pretty crazy!

Who is of most impact nowadays in your opinion – being a popular Internet personality or speaking of authority as a journalist from a magazine?
Unfortunately, I think it would be the first one, the popular Internet personality. For me as a journalist it is surely a big concern, especially when we are talking about more serious subjects such as politics, etc., we usually don’t get enough credits!

I know you are a sucker for Chanel, and so am I, but can you share with us a brand or two that aren’t so recognizable but still deserve the attention?
Of course! My absolute favorite brand is Tibi and I recently discovered BITE and TOVE which are amazing sustainable brands everyone should check out!
