The name of Stanislav Petrov is known to those who follow the manifestations of the Bulgarian design abroad and who read regularly „Almanac of the Bulgarian fashion”. He is Roman trained and scholarship student of consulting house „Ot igla do konetz”. What else we know of the young designer Stanislav Petrov? If he is interested only in fashion or his art ambitions have bigger perimeter? What are his manifestations till now? What he is occupying now with?

From the personal web site of Stanislav Petrov can be learnt very curious particularities for his life and creative road till present. He was born at 19th of April 1977 in Sofia. In his early childhood years he finished specialized schools at fine and applied art, graphics, fashion and textile. He professionally masters the technique of the work with silk. He has created a great number of decorative compositions on silk wall panels, as on silk clothes at the same technology that are presented at exhibitions in Berlin and London. He graduated a four-year middle course with specialty "Lady’s and men’s fashion". He masters the techniques of modeling, construction and sewing of every kind of clothes. He was working as a designer, cutter and tailor in fashion atelier "Carnation" - Bulgaria. He graduated two courses in the University of Veliko Tarnovo - specialty "Iconography". He masters the technique of the iconography and he has created over 30 icons, some of those are presented in exhibitions and are nominated.

In 2001 he is accepted for full-time student in the Academy of haute couture "Koefia" in Rome. He graduates in 2005 and he takes a diploma of a fashion stylist (stilista di moda responsabile del prodotto). In the process of the education he has created a great number of albums with models of clothes from the lady’s and men’s haute couture. He has participated in fashion-shows with his author’s models in Rome, Paris and Beijing. He was in training in different studios of haute couture in Rome as stylist painter. He masters the process of the creation of the model from his idea, through his construction to the realization in a ready product at the technologies of the haute couture. In Bulgaria he is presented with his works of art in the TV broadcasts, in "Igla do konetz" at Nova televizia and in "Elit" at BNT. In 2003 he receives the scholarship of the consulting house „Ot igla do konetz” and of "Almanac of the Bulgarian fashion".

Today Stanislav Petrov is working in Rome as a stylist–decorator in the house of haute couture „Jamal Taslak”. Together with this he is studying in the famous Roman University „La Sapienza”, founded by Papa Boniface. Stanislav is studying in a master program at the specialty „Culture and techniques of the fashion and of the costume”. In his design activity he perfected him self as a master of the ornaments, of the applications and of the decorations of the clothing. The embroideries of the most of the clothes, created in fashion house “Jamal Taslak”, belong to his work. In some of them he interprets perfectly ethnical elements and inspires a new life of the folklore symbols and signs in the contemporary works of art haute couture. Among his clients (respectively at the fashion house, where he works) there are many famous person and celebrities – journalists from the Italian television „RAI 1”, representatives of the artistic and of the political life, business ladies and wives of prominent statesmen. Clothes created and decorated by Stanislav Petrov wears the famous Italian pop singer Patti Pravo, qualified by many people as one of the most elegant performers of the festival „San Remo”.

Now Stanislav and the team of the fashion house are engaged with the preparation of the costumes for her newest tour (mainly jackets and trousers). Another world celebrity, for those appearance takes cares the Bulgarian designer and stylist is Suzanne Mubarak – the wife of the Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak. Stanislav Petrov with diligence and inspiration works on her unique embroidered jacket from silk satin and georgette. „My passion are the design ornaments and the embroideries. I make the most of the things by hand, only sometimes I turn to the machine embroidery. The decorative part of the design of the clothes is my work...” – shared especially for „Fashion Lifestyle Magazine” the talented young Bulgarian designer.
