ANGELA MISSONI: “I TRY TO GIVE COMFORT TO THE CLOTHES: SOMETHING LIKE A FEELING FOR FREEDOM”

Which is the design that is characteristic to you?
The harmonious combination of colors mostly characterizes “Missoni”.

What inspires you?
I am inspired from the work of my parents and from the life itself.

Who do you think forwhen you figure out your models?
I live in a small city and for that when I’m working I am always thinking about the women, who live in the big city. That’s why I strive to leave into the clothes the feeling of comfort: one feeling for freedom.

Who exercised influencemostly on your career?
To this question undoubtedly my mother takes the first place, because I learned so many things from her. But definitely I have kept my personal handwriting in the work.

How your personal experienceeffectuateson your work like a designer?
For me all things are related: the passion, the love, the life, the children and my work.

In your opinionwhat is more important: the process or the materials?
The process is the thing what makes you to act. The results are so momentary.

Was it sometimes happening to you to be influencedfrom the reaction of the publicto your design?
Of course, you are happy, when you make things that people like. But when people don’t approve what you have made the factory works till the morning. This is a great responsibility.

What is your definition for beauty?
The uniqueness is more beautiful than the “perfect” beauty.

What is your philosophy?
I want my work to be in harmony with my love life and with my friends.

What is the most important lesson that you have learnt?
My father says: “Why you have to earn more money, if you can’t spend them?”
