SUMMER CHIC

The summer season of 2023 is ripe with style challenges and temptations. Global fashion brands are enticing ladies with generous offers. Dior, Chanel, and Armani have a focus on corsets, extravagant femininity, and luxurious opulence, incorporating elements like black lace and embroidered flowers. They draw inspiration from volumes and shapes typical of the 1960s, and lean into water green, purple, pale blue, and gold tones, even echoing the aesthetic of characters from the Italian Commedia dell'arte. The color palette for this summer echoes the hues of ice cream, the sea, the sand, the lagoon, the sky. The broad color spectrum takes inspiration from nature's rainbow, making color choice a breeze. Summer fashion for men is characterized by pastel tones, gardener hats, and white tank tops. A combination of tuxedos with ripped jeans, black lace shirts, and elastic trousers is also on trend. According to the influential men's magazine, GQ, baggy jeans, sleeveless tops, and shirtless suits will be in vogue during the hot months. One additional note – ties are out! Cropped tops, which only a few years ago were associated with pop stars like Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, are now emerging as a summer staple for men.

Fashion design, and fashion in general, are not merely passive observers of summer trends. They are instrumental in enhancing our experiences during these wonderful months.
