Autumn-Winter Collections 2018-2019 by Valentino, Givenchy, and Giambattista Valli

We present to your attention the latest autumn-winter collections 2018-2019 of the Valentino fashion house, "Givenchy" and the designer Giambattista Valli. Inspired by the strong independent woman and the ladies open to the world and the new challenges, the models bring classy romance and the reference to the 1980s gives a huge dose of chic and class for the collections.

The question about what “Valentino” fashion designer Pier Paolo Piccioli calls human rights is the big fight in fashion. How do women dress up to establish themselves in the socio-political climate that privileges men? The answer to the question lies in the elegant elongated silhouettes and dark colors combined with gentle flowers the designer offers to his admirers. "Sometimes it is thought that women have to give up their femininity to be strong. I do not think you have to be authoritarian to stand up for yours. We believed Romanticism was something frail, something close to love, but for me romanticism means an individual approach to life - more passionate, more emotional, more human. Today, Romanticism is not a weakness but a force, " says Pier Paolo Piccioli.

Valentino's collection turns the stereotypes of Romanticism into something bold and louder without going to men's territory. Floral themes appear in both graphical and maximum sizes, over the entire length of the pattern or in a particular part. Fairy dresses are up to the ground, freely falling over the body and neckline around the neck. Modern is the "deep" neckline almost to the waist, which highlights the feminine shapes. An interesting accent in the collection is the combinations of a long dress with a hood or imitation headscarf - this has been a trend for several years. Black and white classic combinations are on asymmetrical costumes and one-sleeve dresses. As a master of transformation, the designer transforms the blazers into something more formal, so they can be worn in the office environment and at the same time cover the trousers and the shirt with fringes for a more broken radiance. The colors in the collection are varied as they predominate - classic black and white, burgundy, mustard, various shades of green and pink, as well as many colorful graphic elements. Metrics are basically leather, chiffon and knitwear, supplemented with fringe and fluffy materials. The accessories are large bags in different colors, combined according to the toilets and gentle, elegant earrings, ending styling.

"Amorality and Boldness" - so sums up his second collection of "Givenchy" Claire Whittle Keller. She has brought the sex appeal of cinema since the 80s, the club scene of the 90s and the French chic, combining them in a unique way. Including the nightly atmosphere with straight outfits, long fur coats and underwear, the designer directs the mind to the dark side of the glamor.

Voluminous long coats of artificial leather are combined with a three-piece suit, dresses and skirts. The leather trolleys have been in fashion for another year, and here Keller imposes a latex imitation to enhance sex appeal. An interesting solution is a white and black overcoat with a V-shaped neckline and a huge waist pant instead of a belt.

When we talk about the 80s and 90s, there is no way to miss out on the glamorous frills and feathers, referring to the jazz icons from the New York clubs. The silhouettes are clear and classic, with several dresses in asymmetric forms resembling petals. The colors of the collection are mainly in the dark range - black, brown, beige, dark blue, dark oil-green, burgundy and leopard print. The materials are chiffon, lace, leather, artificial hair, and bird feathers. There are almost no accessories in the collection, except for a couple of clutch bags and the sharp-tipped skin hurt, again influenced by fashion in the 1980s.

Denim is definitely not the first thing that comes to mind when we hear about designer Giambattista Valli.

Still, the Italian designer, most notably known for producing unique red carpet dresses for some of the most famous ladies in the show business, opened his fashion show with a denim suit. Combined with cuddly shoes and a large bag, he definitely surprised a large portion of his audience. Inspired by curious, intellectuals and world-famous Italian artists and artists from the 70s of the last century, the designer challenged his own glamorous collections. The collection features soldier-style coats, leather and hipster jackets, long dresses with floral motifs and bouffant sleeves. An interesting solution is dresses with an accented chest motif - butterfly, heart or hypnotic circle. The faces of some of the dummies are covered with holographic glamorous makeup. The spirit of Valli is bohemian, but it is based on luxury, so the collection has plenty of exotic skins, especially in evening formal wear. The floral drawings are distinguished in a number of patterns and impress the body shapes with a soft belt across the waist. All models have a clear silhouette, despite the different radiation, everything in the collection is filled with a great deal of sophistication - it's definitely got eyes for details, decoration and proportions - rich, bohemian and beautifully made. The fabrics are leather, suede, tulle, chiffon and silk.

The colors in the collection are varied - from dark gray, black, brown and burgundy to turquoise blue, yellow, pink and red. The accessories are attractive handbags, interesting purses hanging on the neck and long bohemian ornaments. High-tech leather boots to latex are imitation latex and footwear with upholstery accessories.

With tailoring forever at the heart of Paul Smith, the collection celebrates the suit and reasserts its relevance. Confident statement suits are presented for both men and women. In the opening look smooth satin lapels roll into dense pleats with jacquard wool sleeves woven with dancing fairies. On single pieces, houndstooth is panelled alongside Prince of Wales check and leather juxtaposed with hardy British tailoring cloths. The added length in jackets is a nod to Paul’s own past when in the Eighties he led a confident movement to relax the suit, again reasserting its relevance.

Muted colour builds to a crescendo of bright red. Illustrator Edmund Dulac inspires a romantic palette of midnight blues, deep purples and other jewel-tones. Painterly prints bring a much-needed sense of optimism and respite from world woes and are delivered in other-worldly psychedelic florals and ethereal moonlit landscapes. Of particular prominence in the collection is the Dreamer print, seen most vividly in the intricacy of woven lambswool and mohair knitwear.
